NCCER Virtual Certification - 2025 1/1/2025 - 12/31/2025

In these courses, you will learn the history of NCCER and how the curriculum was developed, become certified to train, evaluate, or proctor in the craft(s) that you have significant level of experience (i.e. journey-level of experience or greater, 4+ years), ensure that you are using the proper evaluation techniques for your training program and improve upon the ones currently in place, learn the skills needed to successfully manage a training program before, during and after the class, determine what makes a good communicator, a good leader and how to incorporate those qualities into your classroom. Note: Proctor certification does not require 4+ years of experience in the trade/craft for which you will proctor exams.

Depending on which certification you will be earning, these courses may consist of as many as two live-online six-hour sessions, one live-online three-hour session, and four self-guided modules. 3nd Annual ABC Golf Fun Event at Suite Shots Fargo

ABC members and guests are invited to attend the North Dakota ABC Fun Golf event at Suite Shots in Fargo ND from 12-4pm. This is our third annual in Fargo and will be just like our Minnesota event that was a huge success in the past years. We look forward to seeing you there. We'll talk golf and work at on our game before the courses open.We will have 8 bays for golf, food and drinks! Take a break from the office or jobsite and join us for a day of golf and networking. Construction Estimating Principles & Application is a four-hour program. The times for this class are 12pm-4pm CST

Great Estimators know that to be competitive and competent in the current market, their companies must continually be in search of an edge. “How can we approach this project differently than our competition?” This virtual interactive training workshop is scheduled in two sections:

Track 1 - The Estimating Principles Behind Every Bid:

This open forum discussion led by a panel of experienced construction estimators explores advanced elements of construction estimating. Each day we’ll spend some time demonstrating how technology can not only replace your highlighters, scales, and calculator, but fluid company standards for you and your team. With an emphasis on Bluebeam Revu, these digital tools and workflows will produce clear, visual markups that are accurate, predictable, and consistent no matter who on the team uses them.

Reading Construction Documents 6 hours

This 2-part online program is for entry-level architectural or engineering designers, apprentices, entry-level tradespersons, project coordinators, assistant project managers, new project managers, estimators, specialty sales representatives, or anyone in career transition looking for a refresher.

Designed to quickly familiarize students with the basics of reading and understanding construction documents. From navigating title block information to combing through specification documents, participants will learn how to navigate a project and understand the material and construction requirements.

ABC Broadband/SQUTI Certification 4/21/2025 - 12/31/2026

The ABC SQUTI program, designed to meet the requirements of Minnesota statute § 326B.198, is a comprehensive 40-hour training course that combines online learning with hands-on experience. Developed by industry experts, the curriculum covers seven essential modules: Utility Locates Regulations, Identification and Verification of Utility Lines, Safety Guidelines for Trenching and Excavating, Safety Guidelines for Directional Drill Equipment, Response to Utility Strike Incidents, Traffic Control Procedures, and Avoidance and Mitigation of Safety Hazards. Each module is meticulously crafted to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to work safely and effectively in the field.

Registration through this link covers access to the SQUTI classroom content in the NCCER Learning Management System. The completion of the course content in the LMS meets the requirement for the classroom training portion of the ABC SQUTI program. Each trainee must also complete the required 14-hours of hands-on training. Hands-on training documentation must be submitted by an approved, certified SQUTI instructor. ABC must be notified prior to the hands-on training taking place or else training documentation will not be approved. Whether you’re opening Bluebeam Revu for the first time, or you’ve used it for years, this class will ensure a higher baseline knowledge. Attendees will learn interface navigation including menu dropdowns, toolbars, various tool panels, keyboard shortcuts and a few recommended settings. While learning various markup and measurement tools, several tips & tricks will be shared to increase speed and accuracy.
